Into the Dark Wood

Last night we went into the woods at Twilight. Loved it, May day in the woods, the smell of blubells and a fiery red sky through the trees. Tehidy woods, down on the north cliffs. Felt really wild.

Rehearsals were great today.

Emily Dobson is such a phenominal dancer and a great performer. Had a few moments where your hair stands up. Helen Tiplady (Artistic Director of Cscape) was in to work on the choreography, great work. Can't wait to rehearse again tomorrow.

Julian Gaskell was in as well. Bringing his musical magic to the show. Imagine somewhere between Tom Waits and Gogol Bordello. Great and exciting, he works fast, has loads of ideas and certainly isn't scared of a challenge. When approaching a song about gluttony he came up with a great waltz on the accordian and suggested he sang cake recipes frokm a cook book. Great!

Back up to London tomorrow.

Looking forward to the big city and being back at BAC.

Nice to be rehearsing at our base as well though.

We have Bish Bash Bosh rehearsing there at the moment as well. Feels good to have so much creativity in the building.
